Using My Study Companion +

Why do I need a Study Companion? +

How do I use the Study Companion to help me write essays? +

Follow these steps to get started:
  1. Log in: Access your account on the platform
  2. Select My Study Companion: Navigate to the Companion section
  3. Enter Essay Question: Provide the essay question you need to answer
  4. Generate Your Essay: Click on "Generate Essay" to receive the essay
  5. Share: Email the essay to your registered email address for easy reference

Why do I need to reset the Companion for each question? +

Resetting the agent ensures that the answer provided is specifically tailored to each question. Each question may have different nuances, terminologies, and goals, so starting afresh helps the agent focus on the specifics and provide more relevant and accurate essays. This improves the quality and effectiveness of the essay you receive, making sure it aligns perfectly with your current needs

Registration, Account Creation and Access +

How do I create an account? +

Click on the "Register New Account" link on My Account. Provide your name, email address, contact number and accept our Privacy Policy. Click "Register" to receive a confirmation email with an accompanying link to start using the Study Companion

Why is a password not required? +

Passwords are often reused and can be weak, making them vulnerable to breaches. Passwordless logins enhance security by eliminating the need for passwords altogether, reducing the risk of unauthorized access

How does passwordless login work here? +

After you provide your email address and click "Login", a unique URL containing an authentication token is sent to your email. The system verifies this token against your email address to authenticate your login securely

Can I use a normal password to login? +

Yes you can. After you have logged in, click on My Account and then "Create login password". Type the new password you want to use, click "Reset Password" and you will have a login password. Please follow good password hygiene practices when choosing your password

How do I log out when I'm done? +

Hover on the person icon at the top right corner and a drop-down menu containing "Logout" will appear. Click on "Logout" to log out. Alternatively, you can click on My Account and scroll down to "Log Out" to log out

Credits and Rewards +

How many credits do we start with? +

All accounts start with 20 credits. As a new user, you can also get additional credits by entering the code NEW_USER (all caps) to get free credits on the "Rewards" page

What can I do when I run out of credits? +

You can earn credits by participating in surveys or other activities that are offered periodically. Visit our "Rewards" page for more details

What can I do when I run out of activities to earn credits? +

Please contact your organisation's POC (Point of Contact) to request for a redemption code

I am an organisation POC. What must I do to get a redemption code? +

Troubleshooting and Support +

I keep getting "Apologies but I am unable to generate with a satisfactory reply" +

This happens when the agent is unable to come up with a structured reply. Reset the agent and try again. If the same error persists, please contact our support team at [email protected]

What should I do if the platform isn't working properly? +

Try refreshing the page or clear your browser cache. If the problem persists, contact our support team by sending an email to [email protected]. Kindly provide a detailed description of the issue and our team will assist you as soon as possible
